Layouts for Vanilla Crafts Scrap Group
Trying to get ahead with my layouts for the Thursday Scrapbook group at Vanilla Crafts,
Here's two I've just completed -
For this one I've used the Elle range of papers from Trimcraft
Colour my world scallop template and tea dye distress ink
Woodware purple and pink Scallop circle punches
Flowers were made drawing round a wooden shape that I've got with buttons in centre
Tim Holtz Tag
Photo was taken just before the girls went on a recent night out, its not very often these days that I get all 3 are together for a photoshoot
For this one I used new papers from Trimcraft don't know what the range is called but colours are lovely.
The scallops were done with a Martha Stewart punch and the rossettes were made with the new Tim Holtz die
I've embossed the two plain circles with the cuttlebug swirls and flowers folder and then sanded them so the white shows through
Photo was taken at Tintagel Castle last July

I've based the design around this weeks sketch for Sketch Saturdays which has been designed by Peggy Toole and I will be entering it in the challenge
The stamp is from Lilly of the Valley, coloured with Copics and the papers are just from my stash (had them such a long time I cant remember where they were from) but as they are all cream / gold I thought they were appropriate.

Back to Crafting
As per my previous entry not had much time for doing cards or scrappin for a while however its my Great Niece's birthday tomorrow so thought I'd better get crackin.
I've based my design on the sketch from The Pixie Cottage for challenge PC#65 which was to follow sketch and/or for mum or a special lady - well Clarice is my special little lady.

Stamp is Tilda carrying presents and has been coloured with Copics, the papers are from DCWV Nana's Kids range, flowers made using Woodware punch and glittered for a bit of bling. I just love the bright colours and know that Clarice will love it.

Stressful & Hectic Time
Seems ages since I've done any crafting, I've been quite stressed with studying for my exam at work I've not done any studying like this since leaving school 30+ years ago (thats giving my age away), however due to new regulations we are having to be qualified, I've found it really hard getting back into studying and essay writing. Well hopefully if I pass thats one down with 3 more to go (a little break in between I think)
Also had a couple of embroidery gifts to make for people.
Well exam is now out of the way and embroidery gifts finished so will hopefully be able to get back to papercrafting and blogging.
Here's a couple of pictures of the embroidery gifts that I've finished

This was a gift for someone leaving work to have a baby, I did bath towel, flannel, blanket, 2 bibs, babygrow, vest and put in some baby bath and talcum powder. Motifs are various Disney Princesses.
This was for a wedding gift, I did 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and lots of smellies. Motif is Ribbons & Swirls with entwined hearts.

Scrapholix
Scrapaholix Club today, kit included papers from American Crafts Hello Sunshine range and American Crafts thickers
I managed two layouts which I am very pleased with. The photographs used in the layouts were taken when I went on a one day digital slr photography course last year (birthday present from my girls). We were shown the different settings of the camera and what they were used for in the morning and then let loose around the village in the afternoon, finishing off with feedback from the tutor.
1st layout is a picture of me, taken by the tutor, I've based my layout on the sketch from Sketch Thursdays and will be linking it for the 3.31 sketch challenge http://sketchythursdays.blogspot.com/
The 2nd layout shows a selection of the photo's that I took during the afternoon, not bad for a beginner. I've based this layout on the sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches http://sassylilsketches.blogspot.com/
and will be linking it to the March 28th Reveal
Hope you like them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
