2 More Birthday Cards completed

Two more cards crossed off my list this time for my neices whose birthdays fall on 2/4 and 8/4

The first one I've based on this weeks sketch from Mojo Monday

As you can see I chose the square option mainly because I didn't have any circular blank cards
The papers are from the Summer Breeze collection from First Edition Paper

Buttons from my stash and stickles to add a bit of bling

The second card is based on this weeks sketch over at Paper Take Weekly

Thank you cards

My Daughter wanted some thank you cards for her mentors where she has been doing her final year University teaching placement.

So after an inspiring visit to the Hobbycrafts show at the NEC on Friday was all fired up.

I've had these templates for ages and was impressed by some demo's I saw at the NEC that I decided to give it a go

Inking through the templates onto glossy card and then using extra flowers to embellish, two are using flowers inked then cut out from template, other one has my first attempt at doing a rose using 3 punched flowers.

I really enjoyed doing these as they are so different to my normal style of stamping and colouring images.

Grandmothers Birthday

What do you buy for your 93 year old Grandmother I ask myself, there is really nothing she needs so I decided to make her a photoframe with a photo of my 3 daughters (her great grandchildren) in it.

I fell in love with Kaisercrafts Tiger Lily collection of papers when I went to the Merly Crop on Saturday and saw an idea in the Kaisercraft Magazine which I based my creation on

MDF frame covered with Kaisercraft Tiger Lily paper
Edges painted with acrylic paint
Extra flowers and butterflies cut out and decoupaged with gems in centres
Rub on in top right corner

I  hope she likes it

Molly Blooms

Well what a glorious weekend, can't believe its only March its been so warm, shame really that most of weekend was spent indoors crafting.  Scrapbook crop yesterday and

Today I've been on a wonderful workshop at Sir Stampalot in Peterborough www.sirstampalot.com with Clare Rowland, designer of the Molly Bloom range of stamps http://mollybloomdesigns.blogspot.com/
We had chance to see and use the new collection which is due out at the end of the month with a theme of "The Circus".

We did a scene on a small canvas, first time I've done this so was a real treat.

Patterned papers were from Bo Bunny and images were coloured with Copics
