Embossing

I was so pleased with my attempt at last weeks less is more challenge that I couldn't wait for this weeks to appear.

The theme this week is one layer card with "embossing"

The stamps are all from the Tim Holtz urban chic collection by Stampendous, it was my birthday on Saturday and these were a present from my best friend.

I stamped the swirls with versamark and used clear embossing powder, I then added my distress inks, once dry I stamped the bird and text images using archival ink and embossed with clear embossing powder, I then finished with the leaves and vines again using archival ink.

I feel quite pleased with the result.
I'm also going to enter this in the Crafty Cardmakers challenge 46 which is also embossing

  4. Hi Janet it's so good to have you back with us again this week!
You have used some great techniques this time but seem to have used up ALL the white space. Maybe if you have stamped just in two opposite diagonal corners you could have retained some of the white space we like to see in a CAS card.
It's a super card however, and we'll look forward to seeing you again next time for another Clean and Simple challenge!
    Thanks so much
