Retirement Card

I needed to make a retirement card for someone at work so combined it with this weeks sketch from Sketch N Stash
http://sketchandstashchallenge.blogspot.com/2011/08/sketch-n-stash-challenge-67.html

My take on the sketch is :-
All elements used are from my stash:
Lily of the Valley image coloured with Prismacolours
Patterned Paper - Pampered Pets by Andrea Jane from DoCrafts
Martha Stewart Border Punch
Woodware Flower Punch
Doily
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
I hope she likes it.

Feeling Fruity

The challenge this week over at Less is More is a lucky dip and its "Feeling Fruity"

Had to have a think about this as I hadn't got anything remotely fruity, so has a bit of a search and finally decided on this one

I hope it fits the bill

The image is a digi stamp from Pink Petticoat www.pinkpeticoat.co.uk coloured using Copic's, and out came my trusty cuttlebug folders for the embossed image.

Look forward to seeing what you think

New Baby

My friend who I've worked with for many years has just had her first baby a beautiful little girl called Isobel May so I've been busy making gifts ready for my first visit tomorrow

The card I've made is based on this weeks sketch from Sketch Saturday
http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/2011/07/week-166-30th-july-sponsored-by-craft.html

All papers are from my stash, sentiment cut using the Nursery Rhyme cricut cartiridge and flowers etc using various Woodware punches

Image is an actual photo of baby Isobel.

I hope she likes it.

I've also made a personalised baby quilt

Unfortunately because its cream on cream it doesn't show up very well on the photographs.

Circles

The theme this week over at Less is More is Circles,  mmmmmmmm had to put my thinking cap on for this, then I suddenly remembered the stamps I bought last year from Woodware and  here we are another Christmas card done

http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/2011/07/week-24-theme.html

stamped with versafine black and embossed with clear powder, coloured with copics and then blinged up with gems, stickles and glossy accents.

Look forward to reading your comments, they are much appreciated.

Merly Impressions

Yesterday I attended the first ever Merly Impressions scrapbooking crop in Bedford, I left Leicester at 8am in the pouring rain could hardly see through the windscreen and travelled down the M1 to Bedford, arrived at about 9.30am for a 10 oclock start.  Kit was made up with the new Blae & Ivy collection from Kaisercraft

http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/blog/

Here are the layouts I made from the kit :-

I had a lovely day meeting with other like minded people doing something I enjoy and having some retail therapy with yummy Kaisercraft goodies.  4pm saw it time to go home and what a difference the journey back was, sun was streaming and I needed my sunglasses.
Thanks Chrissy & Co from Merly Impressions for a lovely day.

Experimenting

Spent a lovely day today crafting with a friend, experimenting with hobby art scene it stamps, I'd seen these recently being demo'd and bought a couple of sets and then got home not sure where to start, so we got together to share and have a play, I feel quite pleased with the finished results

Thanks for a lovely day Maureen http://maureen-maureensmixture.blogspot.com/2011/07/scenic-stamping.html
